REC presented the National Report of the Tisza River Basin Sustainable Development Program

The presentation of National Report “Assessment of the current legal, policy and institutional frameworks related to sustainable water management of the Tisza River Basin in Serbia and Montenegro” by author Mr Miroslav Tomic today was held.

This initiative is a part of the Project “Tisza River Basin Integrated Sustainable Development Program” supported by the UNDP – Slovakia and conducted by The Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe (REC). This project is jointly implemented by two REC HO Programs, Environmental Law Program and Local Initiatives Program and the REC COs in Hungary, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro and Slovakia.

The project consisted of development of National Experts Report about Assessment of legal, policy and institutional frameworks on sustainable water management in Tisza river basin. This Report was presented to the interested public and stakeholders involved in the management of Tisza river basin. Presentation was held with the aim to involve all interested public in finalization of this report with integrating their given comments and suggestions into the final version of the National Report.
