On the ocassion of June 5th, World Environment Day, on Friday June 4th at 14.00 hours in the City Assembly of Belgrade (Trg Nikole Pašića 6), The Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe (REC) Country Office Serbia and Montenegro and Secretariat for Environmental Protection of the City of Belgrade have organized the promotion of the publication "Environmental Quality of the City of Belgrade in 2003“. This edition is the result of one year project of the REC Country Office Serbia and Montenegro „Facilitating Access to Environmental Information“, supported by DEFRA - Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, with the aim to present the information about the state of the environment to the widest public. Following its mission of enforcement of the state of the environment and public informing about the environmental issues, REC Country Office Serbia and Montenegro and Secretariat for Environmental Protection of the City of Belgrade, are co-publishers of the above mentioned publication. The necessary data collection and compilation were provided by the relevant institutions responsible for monitoring of the environmental quality of the City of Belgrade: Public Health Institute of Belgrade, Institute for Public Health of Serbia „dr Milan Jovanovic Batut“ and Institute for Medical and Radiology Protection „Dr Dragomir Karajovic”.
